Two Hour Guided Tour

The Two Hour Forest Explorer tour continues from the one hour tour, leading visitors further into the valley for a second hour. Learn about the history of Orokonui, our conservation work, and meet some of the species that call this valley home! This tour follows a flat, easy walking track and finishes at the viewing platform, amongst the cloud forest. With more time spent listening for and locating more elusive species, the Forest Explorer Tour is ideal for those seeking a deeper understanding of Orokonui and its inhabitants. This tour involves a moderate amount of walking, including steeper declines/inclines, narrow paths, and steps.

All tours start at 10:30am. Tours operate in almost all weather conditions, so come prepared with layers (including a water proof layer), good walking shoes, and drinking water.
